Qualified Admissions
State universities in Kansas follow Qualified Admissions (QA) criteria when admitting undergraduate students. These criteria are set by the Kansas Board of Regents, the governing body for the six state universities. The purpose of QA is to enhance success at the university level by ensuring students are prepared for the rigors of a university education. The institutions that use QA for admission are: Emporia State University, Fort Hays State University, Kansas State University, Pittsburg State University, University of Kansas, and Wichita State University.

Kansas Board of Regents Degree Search
New Educational Search Tool Available Online
The Kansas Board of Regents recently launched a new online education search tool to help identify which higher education institutions offer which education programs. The Kansas Public Higher Education and Training Program Search is available to anyone with internet access and enables exploration of more than 2,000 programs offered by the 32 public higher education institutions.

This tool offers a key word search engine and can perform searches based on specific user-defined criteria, like degree level, institution or institution type. The data for the new tool is updated every 24 hours. The tool can be found on the Kansas Board of Regents website.
